AHHHHH!

Well ive been trying to get my computer to work from about 3 weeks now but each time i solve a problem another comes up.

Everything was working and I was repacing my floppy drive in my new computer for the final steps of fixing another problem. After i did this i turn the computer on but then monitor is completly blanc. I've tried using another monitor on the same computer but the same problem. The original monitor works on my other computer, so i guess its a problem with my new computer. As far as i can tell my video card is working fine (the fan on it still works when I turn it on), ive also tried clearing CMOS(I must have done this about 100 time now).

I still have no idea what the problem is any ideas would be great.

thanks

So just so I have this straight. It was working then you switched floppy drives and it stopped working? Make sure you have the ribbon on correctly for your floppy drive. Also remove the video card and plug it back in. It's possible that it got unseated when you were installing the floppy. They are very sensative so if it's not perfectly seated it can cause problems.

the motherboard could be messed up, like where the agp slot is or something, this happened to me a whopping 3 TIMES with a high quality Asus board. I think it might have got shorted or fried from some sort of change each time but the first, the first time it was defective from the start, hmm... I wonder if I had anything to do with it? I'll just say no.

    W00t,

finally got it working, now i just have to install and OS.

I took all mine apart too and i think it was the RAM that was unseated.

Thanks alot for your help this is a really good forum.
