Yeh I saw that the other day. I hope Nvidia knows what it's doing and that it doesn't turn into another weed whacker...

I dont know whats worse, the person that made up the name nvidiot or the person that paid for the domain.

Its nice to be one of the people who has both so you can decide for yourself...

The card looks really cool though, the power requirements are overkill but if it pushes the polys well enough I think I could put up with it :)

I can't wait to get mine ... but it won't be in the so near future :(

All the benchmarks I've seen have been beating the 9800XT w/ higher AA and AF.

ok guys, lets not toss the baby out with the bathwater. yes, thats true, it DOES beat the 9800 XT by a good bit, but this ati core is A PREVIOUS GENERATION. you simply cant compare this generation with the next. what we REALLY need is some sort of response from ati to see what nvidias competition can cook up.

i just find it hard to hear from you guys (especially the folks that have ANY experience in the tech market) that you are already gonna be buying one of these things. dont get me wrong, it very well could beat what ati has to offer, but we havent even seen what they have to offer yet. and i dont imagine that ati will give up their crown so easily . . .

i am not saying its a bad card. i am not saying i hold allegiance to ati or nvidia. what i am saying, is make your choice based on which of the next gen cards is the best, not this new fangled card and a card that has been out for several years (even though it is the industry leader) . . .

man, some people jumped ship from ati way too quickly. the new ati X800 KILLS the new geforce. it was announced this morning and i think its out this week. i guess nvidia is still a joke . . .

basically at a resolution level higher and a AA setting higher, it equals framerate with the Nvidia in most games . . .

The x800 doesn't have PS3.0 tho. Also, we shall see how ATI's drivers fair in upcoming games ;)

Oh yea, I hate Hardocp's way of graphing benchmarks...it's so...non-standard. Here's a better set of benchis imo http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1583555,00.asp

The x800 doesn't cream the 6800 like you make it sound imo.
