Not putting a watercooling sytem together yet... but want to research next project
I'm not putting a watercooling sytem together yet... but want to research for my next project that could be who knows when. I just want a head start.
First off, water and electronics are not going to mix and be unhappy if I have good parts, correct, what are the chances of a catastrophie?
Second, what are the good brands or web sites that have these? I have looked, but not knowing what I'm looking at I have no idea. If you named one I'm sure I wouldn't know it.
Third, how quiet can one of these systems be? I won't die happy until I have ZERO fans and ZERO noice, silence is too loud for me, I NEED ZERO, but... coming back to reality I might go up into the teens (dbs).
Fourth what parts do I need (ANY AND ALL) to complete a system. Any hoses, waterblocks, etc, EVRYTHING.
Fifth, does case modding have to happen a lot with all the added bulk?
Sixth, does maintenance always have to occur, ie changing of the fluid monthly or something? (This would get very annoying for lazy people like me who want to set something up (create and build spectacular things) that's awesome, but than not mess with it ever)
Seventh, would the ???forgot name??? "water storage thingy" be recommended to place outside in another box? like something that was done in Icrontic sometime ago.
Eighth, how much money could be spent? A range from absolute most expensive reasonable setup and down to almost anything.
******************************************
Basically, I'm clueless, treat me like a mature Kindergartner.
If anyone replies, note that I would need a complete system, every last thing that needs cooling I would want water cooled, which means processor, gpu, psu (if that ever became possible), mobo chips (if necessary), any other things that might start needing fans, and possibly harddrives (not too sure on this because in my plan I will probably not have enough room, too many harddrives in raid, like 4/6)<
I know I am obsessed with harddrives.
So... now I hope someone clues me in on what everyone else already knows. If I atleast get into the game now, I'll be ahead of the game when the time comes and will probably keep updating my knowledge along the way. Thankuz!

Well it will ABSOLUTELY be 64 bit, most likely Athlon, and if dual processor technology progresses any further, especially for non server use, I would really like that, but forsure 64 bit. All the essential performance parts will be new, but like I said I just want to get into the know how of how everything works, then later I'll be ready to make the setup. I know sort of what I forsure want in the setup, but there will be many new things as well, so I kinda have no idea.
