Hottest new DUAL cpu motherboards
What's new with dual cpu mobo's? Both AMD and Intel are fine, leaning to AMD. How do they compare with standard 1 cpu mobo's?
And are there any new dual cpus advancing?
This would not be a workstation, I am looking for a high performance gaming, everything, etc. rig. I do know that many will say to stick with amd 64 or something, but I am wondering what's the best dual systems have to offer. Any news of new stuff coming out in a year would also be useful, anything would be. I am not familier with dual systems, I just seem to remember that memory speeds are typically lower, and mobos have less features, and there are very little in choice.
I want one! I want one! but only if the darn fools would turn lets say, the amd 64 into a dual cpu (not the server version).

so unless your doing some heavy devel. work or video editing, save ur $$ and get an FX-53 rig
Secondly, I do like the opteron better, its 64 bit too, isn't it?
Thirdly, does anyone know of any new advancment in this more for the gamer? This could be any news, technology, or whatever, and I don't care about if it won't take effect for even a year (time doesn't matter).
Fourthly, I'm sort of addicted to folding.
Programs that are specially written will benefit but the price will probably make it a waste of time if all you want is a high end desktop. Just spend the money on a top of the line graphics card and lots of ram instead.
PCI Express will be replacing the AGP slot. It offers much more bandwidth to shift data. It should be coming out sometime towards the end of the year I believe.
DDR2 also.
Some games are probably starting to use HT though, correct? HT is sort of like a dual processor, but only a cheapie version, and about half the total gigahertz.
I do have to say that I bet a single processor is much more worth it, but I just wish they would make a home user gamer friendly dually with more mobo choices, it would be so awesome if they would just do that, it would be neat to have one of the only few. I guess I can't bring myself to accept that right now it is not going to happen. If I only had a time machine... :guitar:

Oh, by the way, this quote of yours "He who knows, does not speak. He who speaks, does not know." - Lao Tzu, is very, very, very true. I remember my old English class, which was a joke by the way due to it being a regular class instead of honors. It had a weird teacher and all we did pretty much was discuss things, you basically got a good grade if you blurted out random things loudly so the teacher could hear. The kids that didn't blurt stuff out, me included knew many answers, but didn't get as good of a grade, still okay though. The grading in that class was all messed up.
