Heellppp! PCI card doesn't fit, it's too tall!

Would it have any effect at all to cut off some of the bracket at the bottom so that this PCI card will fit? It's a winfast TV tuner, the problem is the FM Tuner thing is so high on the bracket that it hits the case so I can't get it into the PCI slow, apart from cutting the case up a bit the only other way I can see is to cut the bottom of the bracket off the card. I'm just worried the card might swing a little without the full bracket, would it do this or will this idea work?

I've successfully cut brackets down to size with no ill effects in the past. If cutting the bracket is all you need to do, you're good to go.

Had to do something similar with a video card, but it was simply bending it. It's safe. Just put the screw tighter and if you're really concerned glue the remaining bracket to the case (not the mobo!) with hot glue.
