Power Problem

edited April 2004 in Hardware
I'm running a Duron 1Ghz on an MSI-6378 MB, today I decided to clean the inch thick dust with a small paint brush. After doing so I hit the switch and got nothing. After an hour or so of stuffing about I've found that it powers up without the CPU in, but once the CPU is in all I get is a small CPU fan spin and nothing happens. Anyone got any ideas? I'm thinking either a short or a dead CPU, unfortunately I don't have another to test :(

Thanks in Advance.

Jake.

Just noticed some slight damage (small chip off the corner) to the CPU chip if that helps?
