USB Driver for Asus Mobo

I've just built a PC for a friend using an Asus A7V8X-X motherboard, all OK and have installed XP pro. To get the USB ports working you need to install SP1 from the windows update site, however this can't be done as he is using a 'corporate' version of XP and the serial number won't validate.

Is the USB driver available independantly elsewhere?

If it's a legit corporate version of xp the serial number will be validated.

But for an XP usb driver check Asus's site for your mobo there probably will be one on there.

This is the problem, it's not a legit copy so you can't install SP1, the Asus website just directs you to the Xp update site. I have managed to get something from www.driver.com, and whilst that does get the USB ports working, the VIA USB 2.0 Enhanced controller doesn't start. I assume that he's then only getting USB1.1 rather than 2.0.

    The chipsets on the motherboard are:Northbridge:VIA KT400, Southbridge:VIA VT8235, USB:VT8235.

    Any suggestions?
