Hello,

I installed a 56 k pci card yesterday because my broadband was down for half the day. Anyway, I got the broadband back and it worked great together, but now today that computer refuses to be connected to the internet. It seems like I have tried everything (except remove the card), does anyone know what to do? I have disabled the card, set default to the 1000 giga bla ethernet, tried connecting in IE Internet options, tried mozilla, IE, Netscape, MSN Messenger, AIM, still nothing works, plus the dial up doesn't even want to work anymore. ARGGGG!!! It is behind the same setup as the one I am using to type this up right now and this one works flawlessly, but no card was added either.

Thanks,
Needz Help

Can you ping or trace any addresses? What hardware do you use to connect to the internet?

the hardware has always worked before, it is the built in 1000 ethernet port of the asus motherboard

What kind of internet connection do you have? Are you sure the connection is there?

And can you trace or ping?

the connection was there, I am replying to this message arn't I? Anyway it magically came back for some reason, don't have a clue how, I just noticed the long list of folding errors become successful and it was up! Hopefully it stays up, because this was just weird. Everything said it should work, but it just couldn't or wanted to connect. I don't even know if it was the 56k card or not.
