1 Dvi and 1 Vga monitor on 1 Nvidia card? Can it work!

edited June 2004 in Hardware
I would like to use 2 monitors with (1) Nvidia GE Force FX 5200. I am currently using the VGA port and would like to connect an additional remote monitor using the DVI port. I would like output the same exact on both screens. Will it work? Thank you.

Yup it will... you can also have it output different screens (extend your desktop onto the other monitor)

And welcome to teh forum :jelly:

That's what I need to know. Is the 5900 much different than the 5200.

I've done it for a client at my old job using a GeForce ti4200 or something to that extent.

I purchased the cable, it is a DVI-A but the connection on my card looks different. It looks like a DVI-D. Can I purchase an adapter or do I need a new cable? Your thoughts please.
