Help! Unreal Tournament 2k4 problems!

Hey guys,
i'm a newb on this site and i wanted to see if someone could help me with my unreal 2k4 problem. everything starts out fine, i installed (and reinstalled many times) it then patched it with the v3204 patch (i don't crack it). i then started the program and it played wonderful for about 10 to 15 min before the sound locked up (this is the sound locking up, i can still play but no sound). now i've tried updating my bios, graphics drivers, sound drivers, i even reinstalled winxp the night before i installed unreal and updated it. my temps on my cpu, case, gpu and motherboard are normal. yet, i still get the sound lock after a few min of play. if anyone has any helpful suggestions please post them!

    Thats a old sound card. Did you tunr down the sound quality in the game itself? If that doesnt work do you have a spare SC around to try?

    i thought my sound card might be ready to retire, i'll see what i can do about replacing it. and see how that goes
