Hard drive

edited June 2004 in Hardware
Ok i recently noticed the hard drive on my other computer which is a 80 gigger can only hold 36.5 GB for some reason, is there anyway i can get it to the 80 its supposed to be at without formatting? Its using NTFS if that helps.

Is this some sorta BIOS limitation? I would use Partition Magic to resize it.

I tried to resize it but it said it was at the largest possible and i know its a 80 GB. Would it make a difference changing it from NTFS to FAT32?

did you ever have it as 80 gig?

Check to see if you can put another partition on it.

The last thing and you shouldn't need to do this with your mobo. But get the driver/utils disk for the hard drive and see if you need to load something with them.
