basically it's just a big sausagefest and if a girl shows up everyone's like OMGAGIRL!!!!111
haha, yea that's so true. Geeks will be geeks
I've been to a couple LANs, ranging from 25 people up to 1000 people. The 1000-person LAN was a bit too much tho... hunching over a computer for 3 days in a giant warehouse leeching... err, stuff... and of course the occasional game-playing.
I went to a couple official LAN parties last year... Mostly a CS party and that's wut I played last year but there were some other games. They have lots of tournaments and prizes etc...

It's nowhere near you... but it's a cool event for the most part.
There are a couple LAN cafe's around and also a LAN held at the local College every so often.
Usually just me and some of my friends from school play all night at one of our houses, it's still a blast w/ only like 2 people, lol.
i dunno, too many people in one room for that many days in a row.. when i went MML i spent like all my money on junk, but god it was fun.. i drank about 3 gallons of bawls.. i had a series of heart atacks i think, dont remember..

Smaller LANs are the best tho. It's more personal

Massive_gas, you live nearby me, where do you here about where/what LANs are going on?
My goal in life, however, is to attend QuakeCon at least once :loco: And E3... maybe next year...
