Need help configuring A8V

Does anyone have any suggestions on how best to configure the BIOS on the beast?? :loco:

    sure, have u installed the OS yet?

    if so, download CPU-Z and give me a screenshort of the MEMORY tab

    what kind of ram is that? HyperX stuff?

    Nope, just Kingston DDR-SDRAMM PC3200 - 512 MB

    Why??

    Are these numbers out of wack with what you would expect??? :confused:

    well, they are pretty high, i wonder if you give ur ram some more voltage, you might be able to run at better timings.

    Can you look at the actual memory modules, the chips and see what brand they say it is on them? A little MT stands for Micron Technology which is a part of Crucial memory.

    They ARE a match pair of 512 Meg Kingston memory.

    I understand that, but Kingston have never created their own chips. They rebrand just like Corsair, OCZ etc. The new Micron is supposed to be the new champs in the memory division. Do you have heatspreader on yours? If not, you can easily see the chips on them.

    I pulled the chips again, no MT. Anything else I should be looking for??? :loco:
