New Rig Update

Ok, here is my final picks for my new rig. ;)

Opinions?

MSI nForce3 250 for AMD Athlon 64 Socket 754 CPU, Model "K8N Neo Platinum"
AMD Athlon 64 3200+, 1 MB L2 Cache
Mushkin Dual Pack 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-4000
Fortron 530W Power Supply, Model "FSP530-60GNA"

I already have the graphics card which is BFG Technologies GeForce FX 5900XT OC 128MB DDR AGP

Don't be shy, but understand the wallet is maxed. :thumbsup:

    I would try to save some money off the CPU and get a 3000+ instead. From what I've read, the real-world performance between the two is barely noticeable.

    Well, couldn't wait..... :jelly:

    Got all the above, except I did some serious reading and soul searching and went with the Athlon 64 3000+.

    two reasons... best I can tell Versello is right, not much different from a real world aspect. The benches are slightly better at best, and more imporantly $$$$$$$$. ;)

    As for the heatsink, i got the Hyper 6 KHC-V81 from coolermaster. :thumbsup:

    Doesn't it? It's so exciting gettin new comp hardware, lol. It sucks when you over-hype it for months before you get it (like me) cuz when I do eventually get the thing I want, I'm not that impressed unfortunately :(

    Congrats! Hope it lasts you a long time hehe.

    Alright, I just got my WD 160Gb SATA drive in. I should be able to get it running tonight!! :jelly: :thumbsup:
