hey guys,

i thought i would post this little gem. its called ab commander, and its a pretty slick little program. its just like the old norton commander or whatever. but its basically a dual paned explorer program, that has a fairly low footprint. and it has tons of other options as well. anyway, check it out if you guys are interested in trying something new

Cool proggy drowd. Have you tried it yet. I wonder what the difference is between the lite -free version and the paid full version? That seems like it would work great for doing filework between my pc and FTP site. Has a lot of other tools built in it too. And it's only 912kb!

yeah, i tried the lite version and really liked it so i went ahead and paid for the full version. ive been using it for about a year now. actually, i said it used to be called singularity, and i used to use it way back in the day and loved it. but i had forgotten about it, so not too long ago, i did a search and found that they had changed the name and that it was just as good as ever . . .

Just from reading up on it other then the file splitter I don't really see a huge advantage to using it or just having to explorer sessions open. Certainly not to warrant the $59.99 tag for the full version. Definitely back in the day when things didn't integrate nearly as well into explorer or the right click pop up menu I could see a point in it. But with the current availability of pluggins and just general usefullness of XP I'm not seeing it.

Again that's just my opinion based on the write up on the site.

I downloaded the proggy and boy, this is nice! If they only could optimize the image preview a little, then it would be complete. This program is going to save me a lot of time. Good find :)
