I get the siren as soon as I hit the power button, no chance to get into bios, fans just shutter slightly and thats as far as I get. Tried two differant heatsink/fan combos, one of them being the stock one that comes with the xp 2000+. Tried clearing the cmos each time, tried holding insert key. Tried memory in slot 3 and then tried it in slot 1. Started out useing the cheap PS that came in case but then tried an antec true power 550, same result. I think that this ram that works in brothers computer my not be compatable with mine, may pick up some today and try that. Have any of you guys ran into this problem? Hinksink has been checked and rechecked. Please help!!!

    Beep sequence What's Wrong
1 Long Beep indicates a problem with memory in the first bank, usually an unseated memory module
1 Long, 2 Short indicates a problem with the video card or the memory on it
1 Long, 3 short also indicates a problem with video or the memory on video card
Continuous this usually indicates a problem with the memory, but sometimes is a video problem
