Laptop Display Question

I have a Inspiron 8100 and I'd like to be able to connect a desktop computer to it's display. On the back of my laptop there is a VGA output but there is no VGA input. (I've never seen a laptop with a VGA input) Is there some device that would let me do this?

    Such a device does not exist.

    I was wanting to trouble shoot other peoples computers using my laptop. I realy don't have that much room on my desk so a CRT monitor is out of the question and I dont have enough money right now for a LCD.
