windows xp pro hangs after rebooting
Hi guys, new to this community so any help would be appreciatted. My hard drive crashed and i bought a new one. It's a Maxtor 80 gig. Anyways, it boots fine from the xp cd , it recognizes my drive, it give me 3 options to format or just leave, formats the drive, prepares to load windows files, loads them, then tells me it need to reboot. This is where my problem starts. It reboots then it goes back to the cd and when i dont press a button to boot off the cd , it just locks up. If I remove the cd, and then restart my computer it just give me a blank black screen with the cursor on the left side just blinking. Any ideas why it does not go past the initial software load??

If I saw your post before you dissed our site, I would have tried to help you. Im sorry you had a bad experience here. This is a good site with good people, just a little slow at times. And BTW, I don't see an Instant Emergency Help Forum here, so what gave you the idea that you would get instant answers?
I would have thought everybody would have been tripping over themselves to answer your question what with you being such a well loved and respected member of the forum.
You f'n nonce.
