i believe that your monitor would have to have the required header for the psu fan monitor, something which i've never seen on a mobo before. check the mobo manual to see. as to your second question, i don't see why not, just try it to see. there should be a boot configuration option in the bios somewhere, you just have to pick boot from SATA instead of IDE and it should work. if it doesn't, then that's just retarded.

I agree w/ kanezfan, my MSI KT3 ultra has one of those three pin connectors at the top of the mobo, but most mobos and PSUs don't have this option.
