error message running linux redhat 9

I just installed linux redhat 9 on my computer and when i run it and it is running its commands B4 it starts up it stops at a command that says "unknown VIA SouthBridge, disabeling DMA". What does this mean and how can i fix it? Thanx.

    have you always used the same motherboard on that linux install or did you get a new one? either way, it sounds like you need a driver for that chipset. which motherboard is it anyways?

    i think i will just uninstall it and get a different version of linux.
