I'm thinking about getting a wireless router im just wondering if i can use a regular network patch cord to go from the router to the computer right below it or will i have to buy another network card?

I just tried Microsoft, Belkin (run from that one), and Linksys. I love the Linksys.... It's flawless for me so far. I have the WRT54GS...

Most people tend to like LinkSys, as do I.... especially their WRT54g routers.

My cheap Free After Rebates belkin wired router works good, lifetime warranty, I'd probably say avoid them for the most part though.

Just remember you need to get a wireless router, not just access point router, some have ONLY wireless capabilities and some have standard wired capabilities and wireless.
