Some people shouldn't build computers.
I was doing some on the side work for some at my work. There computer was having issues, booting, rebooting not booting etc...
Anyway it was some mom & pop computer shop that they bought it from and it still had the silver 'Do Not Open Will Void Warranty' sticker on it. First let me just put in a disclaimer I'm all for the independant clone PC shop but before you go buying from such a place get some recomendations first as there are a lot of wanna bes that cut corners and don't know what they are doing just to save a buck.
Anyway I opened it up to start looking for the problems. First thing I noticed was that the bay covers on the front were taped on. Then I noticed that they didn't have the hdd sitting in a 3.5 bay, they had it sitting on a piece of foam taped to the cdrom. What the bloody hell who does that? I mean seriously if you can't find room to put it in the 3.5 bay drop the $.50 and put it on rails for god sakes.
Next problem. CPU fan tapped on to the heatsink. The people that built this case where brilliant and should all be lined up and shot for their brilliance.
First problem was that the dill morons had the tape over the venting for the PSU and the whole thing was over heating.
I haven't figured out what else is wrong with it yet but that's the start.
