Athlon64 2800+ or 3000+?

edited August 2004 in Hardware
I'm about to go the 64bit route and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience overclocking either of these cpus? Right now I'm leaning toward the 3000+ for it's 10x multiplier. I am interested in your opinions.

There is a revision of the 3000+ with the 1mb cache.

Looking at the reviews and benchmarks the cache seems to make little difference so I wouldnt be that eager to spend the extra cash for it. But, if you see one of the faster processors on offer then go for it. Otherwise, the 3000+ gets my vote. Have one sitting in my main rig.

Yeah I'm most likely going to get the 3000+ because of it's 10x multiplier. I'm afraid if I get the 2800+ the 9x multiplier might limit my oc'ing potential. I'll be watercooling the system so heat shouldn't be a problem.
