Magnavox VCR help

edited September 2004 in Hardware
Ok, I have a problem with my VCR. It's a Magnavox model CR9815AT01 and everytime I put in a tape, it starts to play, appears to be paused for 1 second and then stops by itself. Any help would be appreciated.

Beyond what's said make sure your heads are clean first. If that doesn't clean it up your motors probably shot and it's time to bye a new one.

Yeah. They're fairly cheap, so you would probably be better off purchasing a new one.

There are ALOT of moving parts in a VCR that could be that culprit. It'd be cheaper than a repair to buy a new one. Just my opinion. I find VCRs hard to troubleshoot because of all the moving parts.
