Normal CPU Temperatures

I have an AMD 2400+ running at stock and the idle temps are like 47-49C and at full load it gets up to 52C! Is this normal or is my proc dangerously close to overheating? I use the heatsink/fan that came with CPU because otherwise you void the warranty. I am using Arctic Silver 5 too. There are 2 Antec 80mm fans blowing air out the case right next to the CPU and the side of the case is off too. What am I doing wrong?

Its warm but I wouldnt call it dangerous.

There are a few things you could change. First, close your case. Fans work better in an enclosed space so close everything up and try to have your cables and wires out of the way to improve the airflow inside the case.

Next thing I would say if you are that worried is to lose the stock fan. You have already voided your warranty but using Arctic Silver which AMD wont aprove because its conductive.

Get yourself a nice copper fan and use your AS5 for an improved cooling solution. Make sure you get rid of any heat pads too as the thermal compound will work better without em.

Worst comes to the worst and your CPU does die all you need to do is clean ip up and say you used the fan that came with it. As long as there are no modifications I cant see a retailer worrying about what fan or thermal paste you used.

ya, 47c idle is pretty good if using the stock heatsink

I have sensors and gauges installed and always compare temps to the room temp.
    >Processor behave like this:

    >After startup in BIOS=+5c above room temp. :fu:
    >After startup at Welcome screen=+3c above room temp
    >Burning the CPU=+10c above room temp. :fold:

I got super aircooling with proper filters, and air moves only one way, and everything is cooled, not just the processor .3x fans forces cold air onto the P4 stock fan and heatsink[Copper insert].I drilled a hole in centre of heatsink to 2mm above processor, so it picks up heat immediatly, and differs 1c from BIOS :jelly:
