Ok, this isnt really a thread about world of warcraft as far as information is concerned, but its more about commitment of who will definitely get this game so we can start prepping for servers, races, and guilds. also, i vote versello be the head of the guild, cuz he has more commitment than i do. but i also got some friends that are gonna be playing, so lets all congregate here and talk about what we wanna do. cool? cool.

Oh no teh horde! They're evil. I like the sound of that, but I don't know... I barely know anything about the horde. I have my mind set on becomming an uber mage; everyday since the beta ended, I've been reading up on mage tips and reccomendations and strategies how to pwn other classes in PvP.

    Word.

Some of you dudes may know me as Walrus from the Waste hub. I played around with a hunter during the stress test on the Horde. Horde is way fun and there's a lot more pvp action on their end right now since the alliance always raids the towns but never accomplishes anything.

I was talking with drowd last night and we were thinking we should get together and try and cover most or all of the tradeskills between everyone's characters. I think I want to play an orc rogue, so that will probably mean I take lockpicking and the new rogue poisons that they're putting in.

I played with leathercrafting and skinning with my hunter and the crafted gear is pretty good if you spend some time building up the skill. I can't wait for open beta.

sweet action! (now i just have to convince versello to play as the horde :D ).

hmmm, so what other skills can we get? cuz fishing sucks. that was the damn stupidest skill ever. not even kidding.

    and yeah

I second the idea of covering all trade skills. I would love to take part of an organized guild, albeit one that isn't extremely large that recruits nubs left and right.

I suppose I wouldn't mind playing horde, but it's a tough decision since I met a few cool people on alliance and a few personal friends swear by alliance :p

But the Horde is just so much cooler. Plus, I've talked to some folks that played alliance chars, and I can swear to you, there are a billion more quests for Horde right now. I'm sure that will balance out later on, but I got up to 18 in the stress test in just 3 days as a Tauren, and after level 4 or 5, I ALWAYS had at least 4 quests active in my panel, usually 7 or 8. Plus they just look so freaking cool.

But as far as tradeskills, I saw on Thottbot.com today that Rogue Poisons are no longer listed as a profession, they are listed as a Class Ability or something now, so it might be I will still have two free profession slots. I think we should have someone who does mining/blacksmithing, a skinner/leathercrafter, a tailor/enchanter and a miner/engineer. I think that covers the big ones. An herbalist/alchemist probably wouldn't hurt either though.
    Did I miss anything?

I've noticed in the lower levels there aren't many quests for alliance, but once I was above 14+, I always had 8 or more. It depends how much you travel I suppose.

Edit: I've been reading up on shamans...they sound pretty cool. Can't wait to see what Blizzard puts in for talents.

Has anyone gotten lucky and been invited to the next stage of closed beta? Not me so far.

Emails are going out in batches. I think I'd have a heart attack if I received one. The stress test already wrecked a week of my life, and getting into the closed won't do me any better.

You want it. You need it. It's like porn but green and with tusks.
I'm hoping to have an email by the time I get home early next week. PS, drowd, since I can't reach you on AIM, any luck with that monitor?
