Slight CPU Overheat Problem? Help!
Well, I have been running my 2.6C at 3.25Ghz (250FSB) (cooled by a Zalman CNPS7000CU w/ AS3) for the past probably 6 months (and folding almost 24/7) and I've never had any problems freezing in games until today when I installed my new memory. My CPU voltage is only at 1.55v and the DDR voltage is at 2.8v - The last time I kept checking on temps and stuff I noticed that my CPU would idle around 40-42C and load around 50-52C (Only hit it's peak in "massive" games like Vietnam...)
Just tonight after having some freezing problems in D3, MOH : PA and Aquamark 3 (I tried PCMark04 aswell and it just disappears around Test 6 or 7) I noticed that I still idle around 40C but when I load up my 2 folding sessions, the temperature very quickly climbs to over 50C and after about 1-2 minutes of folding it tapers off around 53-54C which I think is a lil too high, especially seeing as it's never gone that high before, even more especially seeing as it's never climbed that quickly.
I don't really know what any of you can do but I just thought I'd ask to see if anyone knows what I should do... It's not a huge deal to reseat my CPU but I would like to know how dangerous these temps are and if there is any other possible reason for the freezing... I'm almost positive it's not my gfx card because I have it flashed, but it's still running at under 5950U speeds. And I don't understand how it could be the memory.... so whatever. Any help would be appreciated!
