Hey, barely post out here(maybe my first, or second, i really dont know if i have even posted here before), but often read the other posts. Great site you guys got.

Anyway, to get started i was recently offered a great deal for an ati made x800 xt video card. This guy is offering it to me for 215 canadian(and none of canada's outrageous taxes tied on)! A card that regularly goes for 800$ up here. Anyway, this deal is coming from a friend of a friends, friend. My close friend claims his friend can get this deal for us because he has a close friend in China, where he can get the boards for dirt cheap and send them over to us.

So i was wondering, how likely do you think this story is?
Any known way of counterfitting video cards? (cant say ive heard of it, but im looking at all options, sounds to good to be true.)

Any info on what you guys think would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't go for it. Too many "friends" involved... I assume the guy wants the money first.
