Asus A7V880

I toasted my old motherboard which was a gigabyte, i installed the new one a asus when I booted up my xp2200 is all of the sudden 1500xp can anyone give my an idea what to do i'd appreciate it thanks. :)

    Change the FSB on your motherboard, the Front Side Bus, increase it.

    Yup thats gotta be it, should be a jumper on the board. Sometimes on the older boards as well if u used SD* ram instead DDR you would run your CPU at a slower speed by default

    *of course you would need the slots for SD Ram
