I just upgraded my system to an aspire atx-as500w 12v power supply?
Will my electric bill go up that much?

    No. The consumption of your PC won't go up. In addition to that, big PS's are ussualy more efficient, so if anything, your bill should go down.

    Ya that’s what I thought because my mother seems to think that by getting a larger power supply that my bill will go up.

    Even if it was drawing more power you wouldn't notice any significant change in your hydro bill not even at the level of dollars per month more like a few dollars more a year.
