Anyone know what are the expected and/or acceptable temp readings are for GPU cores?

I have a BFG 5900XT OC and i just installed my Cooler Master Aerogate II and watched my gpu temp go up and down. She got from idle @ 35C to tOaStY @ 52C between Doom III and UT2K4.

I'm thinkin of getting better cooling for it, whatcha think?

Well I did read your post, but am not completely sure. Is the 52C on the good loads of the games? If it only happens on the games it proabably will be okay, but I would invest in a better cooling solution anyway, that is what I would do anyway. You would see better cooling, lower noise, and just be overall happier with the card if you souped it up a bit --- I would guess. How loud is the card? Maybe it is time to venture over the water cooling?
