MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 is dying...

I bought my Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 retail, and I've heard that retail Intellimice have a lifetime warranty. Mine has begun randomly turning off and frequently double-clicks when I press the single click button. Have any of you had to replace yours? My prob is I can't find any numbers to call to get an RMA number, etc...well I did find one on the Microsoft site but it said it charges $35 for customer support. If I wanted to pay $35 to get a mouse replacement I might as well go out and buy a new Logitech one, ya know?

I'd really appeciate some help in finding a way to get this mouse replaced. I've still got the original box and receipt. Thanks a lot guys

That number on the M$ site is for tech help and not RMA stuff like you are looking for. As to finding the one you need I'd check through all your packaging there should be some sort of contact information there. Or just go through the store you bought it from they may exchange it directly for you or inform you where to send it.

Not that the MX-1000 was released years after the Explorer 3.0 or anything...

I had the same problem with my wheel doing the double click thing, made certain things difficult in games. Bought a Explorer 4 for £18 to replace it.

Okay I'll stop by Best Buy sometime this week and see what they have to say. Thanks
