Maxtor, Raid and lots of trouble
Hi guys - havent been here in a looong time
I have a KT7A Raid board. For some reason I have trouble with hard disks and clicking when letting them run in raid for a while. I don't know what shit Maxtor sells these days, but I also realized that the replacements they gave me, had been in use once. The stickers were only overglued with new ones.
Since I noticed that, I told them to immediately send me new ones. Now they sent me 200GB 133 ATA hard disks.
Some of you may now guess what my problem is:
The hard disks are only recognized up to about 134GB each by the high point controller - and the controller doesn't allow me to create an array because there is no second disk (which is not true, it EVEN displays me the second disk, I just cant create an array with both).
Now ... how do I get the Raid Bios to support disks up to 200GB? Is this the end of the Raid dream?
The last bios update of abit was in 2002 - there is no new update on their page available.
Is there anyone that could help me?
Thanx in advance!
