XP problems

Hope someone can help with this - ever since installing Service Pack 2, I have had increasing issues (may or may not be connected). First, it started using RunAs to ask me where I wanted to run the application from - current ID or other - I even went in and turned RunAs off, but it still happens every time.
Then I tried to run Restore - I get a message "no association for running .exe file, pick association from File menu". Now I can't get any application to open.

Any help?

Reinstall windows.. or check your servcies.. at services.msc in the run utility...something MIGHT have gone wrong there..like having your restore turned off.

I went to Microsoft xp help page and found an autofix for SP2 - apparently they have had reports of other probs. Hope this helps. Scdees
