Going Flat

Ok i was at walmart yesterday and found a 18' microtek for about 400 and some odd dollars.Not really knowing on what to look for Im coming to you guys for some help. Im really into gaming so I was wandering would this one be good?Microtek :confused:

    IMO monitors are one of those "ya gota see it to like it" kinda thing. The price is average at best for what they call a 19". The contrast ratio is a little low compared to others that I see online. hope that helps. ;)

    I'm wish I would have had the bucks for a flat panel, but I was limited to a CRT.
    Thats OK cuz I think they have a wee bit better picture quality.

    Seems a little on the low end. It'd probably be alright for typical use but if you want it for gaming I don't think it'll be able to handle the refresh rates and you'll see some artifacts and some other odd defects. Also 19" is damn impressive, but in a flat panel with such a crsip image you can probably go for a 17" FP save some bucks and still have a damn impressive screen size.
