Wireless problems...

edited October 2004 in Science & Tech
Okay so I am new here but definately not new to the IT field.

I have a problem. I have a linksys wireless router in the addition to my house. Upstairs in my room, I have a very poor connection to it, 1mbps. Is there a way I can use my 2nd router as something like a repeater to take the signal from the one downstairs, and make it alot stronger for my upstairs usage?

If you got the router not to long ago I noticed that linksys was making them with the signal booster built in. Now if you have an older model I think you can buy a signal booster and attach it to your router.Signal Booster

Not that I know of unless you actually wire it in you can't hop the signal from one router to another accept by using a lan cable. But Overlord also speaks the truth you can get boosters and some of the newer linksys routers come boosted. But they are only on the linksys g's.
