Windows Xp wont boot. Getting error message 8X80070002 saying problem
is preventing windows from checking license #

    1st is this a legit copy. 2nd have you recently upgraded to SP2 (or 1 for that matter).

    IF you are getting that messeage. u most likely have the wrong liscense for that copy of windows, and he they have a good question is it Legit??? and if u have that message at least u know there is a OS on ur pc.
