I want yahoo as my default home page, I know how to fix this in INTERNET OPTIONS. But msn keeps coming up as my home page. Someplace is a file not alowing me to change this. WHERE?

OUTLOOK WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO ADD AN IDENITY, SEE ATTACHED PIC. Thats what I get just after typing a name in and windows asks, "do want to switch to.....now?" I have all the current updates
Help Bruce

1st is this a home or work computer?

2nd do you have msn-toolbar or anything like that installed

As for outlook is this Outlook or Outlook express and your image isn't attached.

I'm running WinXP Pro and just thought of deleting the account. I have no problems using another account and then restarting the account up again? In other words, works fine for me when I log in under my name, but not under my wifes name

what version of OE are you running?

you might have a look at this (OE5) and see if that is similar to the problem you're encountering.

running version 6. I had the idea of deleting that ID/account and where you pointed me sounds like thats the way to go. This (CAUSE
This issue can occur if the following registry key is missing or damaged:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\Account ID\User ID
) is making me think thats the fix. Thank you for your help..will let you know how I make out today......off to work now. Thank You Bruce

please back up your registry before messing around in there.

    for Win XP (Home/Pro):

Start > Run > type regedit

all folders should have “+" signs next to them.
select My Computer; 5 highlighted folders (each with the "+" sign in front of them) should be showing, i.e.:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    HKEY_USERS
    HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG

select File from top menu, then Export

name and save registry, preferably to your desktop so you can find it later.

You'll loose any message that are stored with it, unless you back them up first that is.
