I have a 2ghz amd64 newcastle core. When i try bumping up thre mem bus i cant get past 406. Now when i lower the mem speed to 333mhz i can up the chip to 2.2 ghz stable. Now at first this looks like a mem problem. But i tried lowering my cpu multiplier and set the mem spee speed to 400 i was able to get it up to 450 mhz stable.... so the mem will go way past 400mhz and the cpu will get to 2.2ghz. but i cant just simply up the bus sped past 400 when the cpu is at defult mutliplier....weird eh? could it be thta i need a new power supply?

what board are you using..cause i had that problem with mine...then i found some lil options...that i overlooked with unlocked alot of things... with mine i have to up the voltage for the DDR just a tad, and then put the memory speed a little lower and when i OC it it brings the memory up. mine is odd...but i have crappy PC2700 so thats why i have to do it that way. Oh and when i switched my PSU's over to a more powerful one, it helped a helluva bunch...

Give us more info on your setup..maybe it's just for that particular board.

I have the msi k8t 800 neo fsr with a 350 w power suply. I have tried upping the voltage on the memory..... i am currently running my xp 3000 64 at 2.2 ghz and have the mem at 390 mhz.....i am ablle to set the mem at better timing at this speed so that probably makes up for it running 10 mhz slower that usual.

right now i have mine set to 2.38Ghz 1.55Vcore and the memory is at 316Mhz(i set it to 266mhz mem on teh board so when i OC'd the processor up'd the voltage just a tad, and it OC'd the memory too)..i can probably tweak it just a lil more to get the 333mhz but anything really above that my value ram dies...
