KD7-RAID & KX7-333 No Boot on either
Yesterday the pump on my watercooler died, the system overheated and cooked my cpu on my KD7 board.
Have tried booting with two different processors: An AMD 2000 and a Barton 2600 with the same results every time: The fans start, cd starts, HDDs run.
However no post beep and no graphics, no OS...
I have tried two different CPUs and two different graphic cards with the same result.
Interestingly my last cpu died whilst using my KX7-333 mainboard with the same results... everything runs, no post beep and no graphics...
What is the problem here?
Did frying the cpu kill my bios chips, perhaps?

do you have another mobo you can try with those procs?
if so i would try the amd 2000 and the barton on it, so you know it's not the procs you're using, (and the one that got fried, i would still check to see if it worked on another board just to be sure it really is fried)
me thinks, you should be looking for a new mobo though!
Have a new mobo on the way, a new ASUS board. Ordered a highbpoint raid controller card to make raid system mobo-independent.
Examined the fried-cpu. Methinks that threating-looking patch of blackness between processor and l1 bridges is a bad, bad sign: "Here be Toast".
I just hope none of my other hardware got fried along with it.
Am going to refrain from experimenting on my computer in future: I use it for work and there is a contract on there atm that I need to get finished....
