I had this all worked out and now things have changed.....You c I moved and no more cable here...so i went to DSL....Well the modem they sent is also a wireless router: Westell VersoLink 327W. I had a D-Link DI-614 router before and still am using my D-Link Air Plus card:DWL*650+. However my laptop isnt connecting to this Westell.

There has to be away, Can anyone point me in the right direction?

TIA

Bud

You need to make sure that your wireless card is picking up the SSID from the router. So if you click on your icon for your card and search for wireless networks does it find anything? If not that means the router isn't broadcasting so you have to know it's settings. For that it may have come with doccumentation and if not you'll need to plug into the router with a normal wired connection and check out the settings. Assuming that is it isnt' locked down. It's possible that they've set it up to only work as a wired router (though I find that unlikely). You could also call your ISP and they should be able to tell you what you need to do.
