We have to use proxy servers to get around that bullshit WebSense protection our school uses. The current favorite is "proxy.telcel.net.ve:3128"

Great server, no complaints about it. Blazing fast and stable. Only thing is, the standard school homepage, Google, shows up in Spanish, due to the venezuelan address. Due to this, the teachers are catching on and getting pissy about it. Does anyone have a smokin fast U.S. proxy server?

Maybe you could try the SafeSquid Content Filtering Proxy Server which intrinsically contains all the features of Squid and ClamAV/F-ProtAV.
Alongwith the excellent technical support of their team.
Can check it out at www.safesquid.com/html/index.shtml
and ask for technical support at www.safesquid.com/forum

You're running on thin ice by bypassing the proxy. You're better off just to leave it alone and look up what ever you want when you get home. You could get in some real trouble for that. My school has websense also, let's just say some people were really close to getting expelled for bypassing the proxy.
