Does Firefox 1.0 need a firewall?

I upgraded to Firefox 1.0 and Norton Firewall 2004 prevents firefox from web browsing whatsoever. When I turn Norton Firewall off it works fine. My last version of firefox, I guess it was .9 worked fine with Norton enabled. What am I overlooking? Thank You!

    just tell norton to let that program access the internet. norton will detect even the smallest change in an application and think its a compleltly differnt one. i had those type of problems back when i used norton.
