List what race/class/server you're on, so maybe we can try to organize something.

Gnome/mage/Shattered Hand (PvP) - primary
Gnome/mage/Elune (PvE) - secondary

jeez... you can't really be screwed very easily in your own territory, there's loads of NPC guards to keep you safe... PvP for life!!!

Anyone wanna lend me a credit card number so I can actually play? I'm stuck waiting for time cards.

Aside from the number of NPC's, these's also an Honor-point system, which works heavily against noob-gankers.

Also since it's the start of the game, it's not like anyone has a major advantage over another person.

you all suck. Where's my damn time cards?
  • verselloversello New
    edited November 2004
What exactly are these time cards? Are they like pre-paid cards, where you play only for X amount of hours?
  • lordbeanlordbean Ontario, Canada
    edited November 2004
yes, and I can't get on without one of those or a credit card.
  • verselloversello New

You don't have a debit card neither?
  • lordbeanlordbean Ontario, Canada
    edited November 2004
Debit cards don't work. It has to be either a credit card subscription or a time card subscription.

Ehhh, I have a debit card and it works. Debit cards work exactly like a credit card if it has a VISA logo on it.

a debit card with a VISA logo is a VISA (credit) card. Don't get the two confused. A debit card (one without a credit logo) is a direct cash transfer from your account to another account, much like a Cheque.

"Deferred debit cards: A deferred debit card looks similar to a credit card. It has a Visa® or MasterCard® logo on it. If it has a Visa logo then you can use it wherever Visa can be used. If it has a MasterCard logo then you can use it wherever MasterCard can be used. To use your deferred debit card:

Select "credit" at the merchant's terminal.
    Swipe your card through.
The merchant will give you a receipt to sign.
You will not have to enter your PIN.
Note: A deferred debit card is not a credit card. Most off-line transactions are still verified immediately to see whether there is enough money in your account."

To part-time students with no jobs? I already tried to get a credit card and couldn't.

Yep, as long as you have a checking account with the bank, you're elligible. I got mine when I wasn't working and going to school. Getting an actual credit card is another matter.

yeah, check cards are much different from credit cards. check cards pull directly from your account, and (usually) you cant pull more than you have. and they do operate just like credit cards as well.

I was right in the first place - there's no such thing as a VISA that draws from your chequing account in Canada. There's only straight credit cards, and straight debit cards.
