SWF 'n Slide

i realize that this forum doesn't focus on web design, or web tools (flash in particular), but y'all are the most helpful forum i've found, and i feel at home here, so here goes anyway... (cause i figure someone in here tools w/ Flash at least on occasion)
i made a slideshow movie (swf) with Vertical Moon SWF 'n Slide-- for the purpose of a "splash" page intro to my website.
the input:
the output
this will not do for a "splash" page-- so i tried to import that SWF into Flash MX 2004 in hopes that it will be able to squeeze the file size down a bit.
well, Flash will of course inport the swf, but the audio doesn't come in during the import. so, i tried added a new layer, and re-adding the sound in this new .fla project-- problem is-- even though SWF 'n Slide is moving at 12 fps, and Flash is set the same (default 12 fps), the audio synch is no longer matching up the way it did in the original SWF 'n Slide swf file.
so, does anyone know of a way to convert this swf to an mpg or mov file so i can try to import that to flash instead? i've tried WinMPG Convert, but it "crashes" upon trying to open the swf during its "convert all to avi" feature.
i know Flahs will really crunch an mpg down to size (i've taken a 5 meg file down to less than a meg when output as swf flash movie)
i'm just bummed cause i really liked my first swf output, and SWF n Slide interface was so easy to sort of preview what the final product was going to look like-- important to me 'cause this is a retrospective slideshow of my old band-- we are going to reunite on New Years Eve for a "one night show" and i made the pictures transition nicely w/ our own song (which received local radio play)-- it would have been so cool had i been able to use that swf!
i'm thinking i might just resort to making the existing file a "save to disk" download instead of a "splash page" type thing... but...
suggestions?

- about 200 jpg's
- song of length 3:54
