am trying to buy a laptop (HP) need advice.

Hi,
Am buying a laptop for my fiancee, and she is an interior designer.
She will be doing some 3D studio max (Rendering), photoshop design, AutoCAD and some other designing programs for home layouts and painting also office programs.
I want to know if its a good product, or i will have any problems, i don't to buy an apple system caz my fiancee is a windows oriented user.

if any one could give me an advice, should i go for it.

    that laptop should be fine. the only change i would make is perhaps a better graphics card, like one of the built in ati 9600's rather than 9000's, but this should be morethan fine for what she wants.

    again,this is merely a suggestion, because 512 is more than enough for those programs, but if you could afford a gig, you might want too assuming its not too much more expensive (and it probably will be). the jump from 512 to a gig used to not make much difference, but you will notice a difference if you are running cad and imaging programs (or games, in my particular case :D ).

    so just to reiterate, these specs are fine and there is nothing wrong with them. those are just the things i would look for :D

    am thinking about the 1 gig memory but probebly after 6 to 8 months when she will use it for more extensive work i will invest about $140 for extra memory..
