Windows 98, how do i turn off a timed startup?

I just bought a used computer with windows 98 that automatically turns on at 5am every morning, how do i turn that off?

    I believe that's a BIOS setting. When you first turn your computer on, read which key it says to press to enter setup. It would be under something in there. I'm not sure where exactly. It could also be the cause of a Wake-On function. Wake-On-LAN or something like that. Take a look through you BIOS, but don't change anything if you're not sure what it does.

    dang, I wish I had that function, although I'd probably just turn it off anyway,

    but yeah, it has to be a bios setting.

    In all the computers I've ever worked on, I've only seen the option once. And the option was on a specially designed HP computer. It was for use with an eCopy setup for a Canon copier. It allows you to scan documents from the copier into PDF, and either email them to whomever you please or send them to a program over a network that runs on your workstation for editing.

    But, I digress. It does seem like a cool feature, but I don't think most normal users would have a need.
