Bit Torrent Tracker

so i am trying to set up a bit torrent tracker for personal use among friends (and eventually for icf ) but i am having some problems. i am trying to use flippy's bit torrent tracker, and the basic instructions are to drop the files into a webserver and run a chmod 777 to give it complete access to edit the hashes. here is the readme.html instructions (actually on my site)

i made a torrent using the announce.php in that directory

and it automatically added the hash (as you can see from the index.php link above), and the only error i get with azureus is "Scrape OK". I even made a file called "allow" and tried manually adding the hex hash, but to no avail.

anyway, i am a total n00b at this, so if anyone thinks they could help out, i would sure appreciate it.

update 20 minutes later:

allright, i think i got it working. if this DOES work, then we can start to have lots of fun maybe even set up a whole bit torrent subforum

i think the thing that was causing me problems, is that i was testing on an old version of shadow's expirimental client, and this tracker uses an updated protocol. so if you are unsure just use azureus @ http://azureus.sf.net or bit tornado (the new shadows) @ http://www.bittornado.com.

anyway, i would appreciate any feedback.

btw, this is the latest version of trillian 3.0, in case you want it.

allright, as of right now, the only torrents up are the trillian one (cuz people were still getting it) and i have just added a new one that most folks prolly wont want. its the silent hill 4 demo for PC
