Performance Questions...

My computer set up is great, except for my RAM.. I have 512MB DDR Ram but the 2 sticks of 256MB are 2 different speeds. Would this be hurting my performance? Also, I have 2 hard drives, a 40 gig and an 80 gig.. the 40 gig is a ATA133 Seagate Barricuda (spelling) with 2mb cache and the 80 gig is a Western Digital 8MB Cache Special Edition Caviar.. my question is should I continue to use the 40 gig drive as my Operating system drive and the 80 gig as storage or flip... use the 80 gig for XP and the seagate for storage? What do you think?

PC Specs:
AMD Athlon XP 2600+
Gigabyte GA-7N400-L
Gigabyte Radeon 9600XT 128MB
40 gig Seagate Barricuda 2MB Cache
80 gig WD Caviar SE 8MB Cache
512 MB DDR (Unsure of speeds)
Windows XP SP2

Why do you think their different speeds ? you described them as equals.
Please relax as you have a very nice system.exept i prefer Intel cpu's.
Changeing the OS from one to other HD is complicated.
See other post on this 20/40
So you decide and i'll do my best to continue.
