VNC always has and always will be free.

There is an enterprise version (not free) which supports windows authentication among other things, but the regular version is free.

Yup beaten to the punch. I also recomend UltraVNC as my first choice but if you are going over dial-up I've found tightvnc to be faster.

    I notice they have Ultr@VNC v1.0.0 RC 18 - Self Installer and
Additional Video Driver for RC18 (W2000, XP). Is it neccessary to get the video driver too?
And will this work from Ultra DSL to Dialup?

You don't need the video drivers. I use them but honestly I don't notice a difference. Ultra will work over dial-up but I've found tightvnc works a bit faster over dial-up. However Ultravnc has advantages such as file transfer and cut and paste that you don't get over tightvnc.

Good, I was hoping I didn't need to use the extra drivers.
What the heck, I'll try both and see which works better for me. I've got a couple pc's that I need to remote access for minor fixes once a mnth or so.
